Companies related to Coupang's delivery operations

While I am working as a Coupang QuickFlexer, I often come across various things without much thought, but it can be quite interesting when I pay more attention.

 

The companies mentioned below are not subcontractors but rather partners working with Coupang as per its needs.

 

 

1. Camp Building - ESR Kendall Squuare

The building of Coupang camp I go to for work has "ESR KENDALL SQAURE" written on it, as shown in the photo example below.

As the largest logistics center in Korea, it is a logistics REITs company that went public in 2020.

Simply but, it builds logistics centers at key transportation points across the country, invests in them, and collects rental income.

About half of the tenants in ESR Kendall Square's leased building nationwide are Coupang, while the rest include companies like Fila, GS and CJ.

 

 

2. Arterial Road Truck - Logistics company "JETTE"

Sometimes, you can see a truck wiith the name "Jette (주)제때" written on it coming to the camp.

It is a company that handles logistics for Haitai Ice Cream, Which Binggrae acquired.

A significant portion of their revenue comes from Haitai and Binggrae, but other major clients include Coupang, Emart and SGS.com.

3. Fresh Bag - CNS Global

This company sources and manufactures raw and auxiliary materials accordiing to client request and supplies them.

Their business areas are extensive, starting from promotional materials to cosmetic cases and household miscellaneous goods, among which one is Coupang Fresh Bags.

It seems to supply the actual product name by "Coupang Rocket Fresh Cooler Bag.".

 

4. Packaging Box - Changmaru

One of the fastest-growinig industries Post-Covid-19 is e-commerce and accordingly, the scale of box manufacturing companies hs alow grown.

The usage of packaging boxes by Coupang is beyond imagination. Our course, since the quantity is large, the supply price must be highly competitive compared to general supply prices.

On of the representative companies is Changmaru, which supplies large companies with MTO(Make To Order) according to the specifications, mixtures and quantity requested by the customer.

 

 

5. Food - Gwangbok Agricultural Cooperative

This should be considered a product supplier rather than a other partner.

Coupang has many private label(PB) products, one of which is "Gomgom Precious Our Rice".

It is one of the best-selling products with over 400,000 reviews on the Coupange website.

Besides Gomgom (food brand), Coupang has also has various PB brands like 'Comet'(household goods), 'Tamsa'(bottled water, paper cups, etc) and others.

 

 

Of course, the above companies are not all the companies that Coupang uses, nor is it officially announced by Coupang.

These are just some representative examples that caught my eye during my work as a Coupang Quickflexer.
